The Legacy Event Center, the recently refurbished historic facility in the heart of Lubbock, unveils special touches at every turn: in the elegant sanctuary, in the exquisite suites for the bride and groom, and in the space seemingly built for a reception and dance.

Talkington Hall, formerly a sanctuary, features an elegant center aisle leading to a spacious stage and our famous Tschudi organ. With a sound system and seating for up to 400, including the balcony, Talkington Hall can accommodate most wedding events.

The nearby Margaret’s Bridal Suite envelopes the bridal party and members of her family in grand style. The dressing area comes replete with luxurious seating, individual make-up stations, full-length mirrors, and a separate restroom. The beautiful array of tables, chairs, and couches enables the adjoining sitting room to accommodate several family members and friends in comfort.

Down the hall, the completely remodeled groom’s suite is sure to please, with the gaming station and flat-screen television upstaging their own full-length mirrors, comfortable furniture, and changing room.

The Ballroom and Parlor make an ideal setting for a reception, dinner, and dance. The Ballroom seats up to 250 and has a stage on which the wedding party may seat, and the floor is made for dancing. The adjoining Parlor, which comes complete with a working fireplace, makes a serving line or reception area especially cozy. The Atrium also is ideal for a serving line and is adjacent to the caterer’s area.

Wedding rental fees include

• up to 11 hours of occupancy,
• set-up for wedding and reception,
• tables and chairs as needed,
• one-hour rehearsal, and
• use of the facility for bridal portraits.
• Additional services available for nominal fees.
